I just woke up to the humming sound of the cars and trolleys and trains and the mass of humanity 29 floors below me. You see i am at a vantage point where i can see most building and the tiny spec of people moving below. I hadn’t realized i had left my glass door open the night before. (Not that it had kept me from knocking out like a stone or sleeping almost till mid-day today.).
So while i sat up, with the recollection that yesterday was a Friday and today a Saturday, i remembered i have a friend going on a special “ALL DAY DATE” With a prospective Boy Friend (She doesn’t call him that. But i do).
What would be a perfect outfit, to wear from morning with him till when they head out for a little dinner, get together or partying with friends. Something Light, effortless and Innocuously fun. According to her, she doesn’t want to give him the impression she changes outfit for everything she does (She actually usually does. But this is our secret).
So i came up with a little pretty stripe dress, which she had gotten but never worn since February.
Now lets Make it Work!!! I told her in the best Tim Gunn Voice i could mimic with glasses perched on my nose. So i got to work of creating something for her, with things from her wardrobe and this is what i came up with.
THE GIRLY: MORNING LOOK
just belatedly realized that 2 of the looks could also go in my last post WHITE AND BLACK CRAZE…HOW TO WEAR WHITE AND BLACK WITH NEON.
So I set about making This simple dress work from MORNING, to AFTERNOON, to NIGHT.
This white lace up oxfords is an incredible wardrobe staple i cannot imagine to do without. I can wear this with almost anything. Its a MUST HAVE.

For cute date and the ultimate grown up but yet child at heart girly feel exchange the oxfords for the flats and the neon bags for a long strap shoulder bag. My choice here is the red purse. The earrings and watch/Bracelet in one is another fashion staple that is incredibly affordable to find on EBAY.
I am not incredibly into popular trends but for those into trends, add a little jean jacket as they are trending at the moment. I personally chose a patch work leather and jean Jacket for a little bit of rebellion.
LITTLE TIP GOES A LONG WAY: Although it is too hot for this tip. If you still want to try here is what to do. (Put the Jacket on top of the dress and add a skinny belt (BLUE, REDS, BLACKS) preferable. Add the Belt where the Jacket ends at your waist to give the appearance of a jean Top and a stripe skirt. It will look like a Skirt and Top.
THE EVENING: NIGHT OUT: GOOD GIRL REBEL/ THE GOOD TOUGH GIRL
This sweetly falls under the category of my earlier posts on Neon and black and whites. But what i love about this look i the girly with an edge of toughness. Black leather has a way of making a girl look like she means business. But the flirty-ness and the innocence of the dress gives the whole look a great balance of not being to tough or over the top hardcore. And so does the random pop of color which the Neon colored purse adds and the bracelet watch. They add a little fun to the outfit.
Personally i will pair both the green and white watch together on one arm (wear them together). Because the friend in question only has low handing earring, i went for the least one. Personally, since i can’t go without earrings. (I feel naked without my stud earrings). I will wear stud earrings instead of low dangling earrings. (Am a studs kinda girl)
Finally the Leather Jacket is a no-brainer for this whole look and can i just say that the HEELS are to die for.
