i just had a thought, that i myself might actually want to be a queen Ursurper… Just One question “can i exchange the king for someone with less fetish for head cutting? Maybe one with a foot fetish would work? At least my chance of survival increases with a head on my neck. And he might not be so keen to chop feet off, once he sees my pretty shoes.
Although well versed in the Tudors period attire, I very know it was not Naeem Khans theme either, but i must admit i have found myself imagining a rather even better dressed court ladies, involved in the court intrigue woven by Phillipa Gregory. You know it wasn’t simply about having heads cut off and plots to take over the crown, there was fashion and a lot of poisoning.
So i have found myself more than once, staring at the ceiling, my book cradled on top of my chest, wondering how intriguing living the court life would have been. But then my brain emits this Self preservance alarm and i wonder if i could have survived the many murders etc.
As intriguing as it sounds, i cannot imagine being part of it all. But I would have loved to really have a peak in. Naeem Khan in his 2015/2016 Ready-To-Wear collection has greatly whetted my appetite for adventure. And Alas if i were to be thrown into such times to survive it. I would take the whole collection with me. I suspect i would do rather great in court with a wardrobe like that
As I am sure, certain boob and skin baring clothes like the one above and below will be frowned upon, i could take my chances either way. As it is such that you are either too boring to die, or too exciting to die.
